11th IPU Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians.

Unite to accelerate progress on advancing equality between men and women


With gender equality taking centre stage worldwide, both as the IPU’s priority theme for 2025 and as we mark the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Plan of Action, the Eleventh IPU Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians will focus on how both young and more senior MPs can unite to accelerate progress on advancing equality between men and women. The Conference is taking place from 11 to 13 September 2025 in Lima, Peru. National parliaments are invited to send a delegation of up to four young parliamentarians (under the age of 40) to participate in the Conference. Delegations should be composed of representatives of both sexes and parliaments are encouraged to include their youngest members. Exceptionally, given this Conference’s emphasis on intergenerational dialogue, parliaments are invited to include in the delegation one more senior MP in addition to the four young MPs.
